Like
most college students, I am used to living on a budget. Most meals are
comprised of chicken and some sort of canned vegetable. Occasionally, given
that the weather is nice, I like to barbeque outside on my grill. These meals
are perfectly fine and I am not complaining, but constantly eating the same
food gets old after a while. I am always looking for affordable ways to switch
up my meal choices and add some tasty alternatives to my diet. Fortunately,
DineOriginalsColumbus.com shares my desire for great food at an affordable
price.
Starting
November 12th and running until November 18th,
DineOriginalsColumbus.com is hosting “Dine Originals Week.” The weeklong event
is a celebration of the culinary diversity in Columbus and a chance for local
restaurants to give back to the community that supports their businesses.
Restaurants all throughout the Columbus area are participating in the event. A
full list of restaurants that are participating can be seen here. Each participating restaurant is
offering an original meal at a very affordable cost. I ate at Trattoria Roma’s
in Grandview. I was able to eat a 3-course meal, consisting of Butternut Squash
Soup, Salmone Affumicato Carbonara and Pumpkin Spice Cake. Typically, a meal
like this would be out of my price range, but since it is “Dine Originals Week”
I was able to eat this meal for only $10!
I
think the “Dine Originals Week” is a great way for local businesses and the
community to connect and build strong relationships. It is local business and
the community support that make up a strong and thriving economy. This week
offers great food at affordable prices for customers and added business to
local restaurants. If it were up to me, “Dine Originals Week” should be a month
long
